Ron Aleman is no stranger to Chicago’s culinary scene, as he’s been working for over 20 years in some of downtown’s most prominent restaurants such as The Fairmont Chicago, Sophie’s at Saks Fifth Avenue and Devon Seafood Grill. Now, blending his classically trained French culinary skills with his passion for Mexican-American cuisine, Aleman will break out on his own to open Taco Mucho in Fulton Galley. The casual taqueria – which was first concepted on a napkin in Guadalajara – will celebrate the flavors of Mexico with both authentic and approachable street food fare. Aleman’s menu will cater to every palette by blending his favorite parts of Mexican and American cuisines that he’s experiences during his global travels. His offerings will feature a rotating selection of tacos, share plates, sandwiches, Mexican sodas and more. In an effort to use the highest quality of ingredients, Aleman will partner with local purveyors and farmers in the area for Taco Mucho’s menu.
